Welcome to Balmacewen! All the year 7's have been welcomed to Balmacewen through our powhiri on Friday. It was wonderful to be greeted by a wonderful haka as we entered the hall. Thanks Mr Cooke for your whaikorero. The waiata were pretty amazing too.

Hi Room 3! A powhiri sounds like a great way to be greeted for the year. When I was in Year 3, we did a powhiri with all of the parents at school. We also went to the marae which was very fun. What is whaikorero? I haven't heard of one before. What did happened in the waiata? It sounds like you had a fun day.
