Today's reading group were reading about the lungs. It was really interesting and had a cool movie to watch to help explain how the lungs work.
Today's group wanted to share this with everyone so here is the link: https://docs.google.com/a/balmacewen.school.nz/presentation/d/16ljFHTaa5p-t9AJKHx7fTleyTkMoAEQM27Dfy7Z2Cis/edit#slide=id.g476f5ee82_0238 Elliott has been working on a story called the Bunker. Check it out on his blog page. I have been really enjoying it. I am also enjoying how Elliott is writing this story because he is passionate about it, this is a story he is developing in his own time and because he wants to! Keep it up Elliott!
Well done to Balmacewen students who competed in the children's marathon on Sunday. It was great seeing so many Balmacewen students running so well.
Well done to Ryan B for his great run! We had a great trip to the Anatomy Museum. It is so fascinating looking around at all the different components of the human body. It was a great opportunity to explore some of our classroom learning at more depth and ask more questions to increase our understanding of the body. It was also a great chance to gather research for our next piece of explanation writing. Everyone was so focused in their research gathering that it was hard to tell the medical students studying from the Room 3 students studying!
Thank you to our parent help as well; Mr Horn and Mrs Wyvill. |
