Armchair Anarchy
I waited in anticipation and fear as the chair slowly twitched one of it’s short, stout legs, all nine of it’s eyes closed and unseeing.
A row of gleaming, razor-sharp, curved fangs shifted slightly, grinding painfully with the second row. It’s large main eye, encircled in a deep, angered red, flew open wildy. It’s slow, ragged breaths came out in gelid, cracked shards, like broken glass.
All four of it’s ears twitched and convulsed painfully, folding and twisting in on themselves. I winced. It’s remaining eight eyes opened widely, caustic tears spilling forth like an acidic waterfall of pain.
It’s small, strong legs kicked and stomped wildly, the noise bouncing off of the walls. It was like the very essence of life was painful.
Anger and pain surged through it’s woolen veins, kicking and screaming from the inside as well as the outside.
Through this entire fiasco, I kept one question in mind:
“Do all mutations act like this?”
