CHAPTER ONE
I had been woken again, voices running through the bunker corridors. But of course this was usual. It was the third night I had spent in this hell hole. I've started seeing things, heads bodies and I swear the walls were moving. The grey concrete, slowly getting closer to me, had sickened every part of my dirty body.
I sat up, and tried not to glare at the walls too long, but couldn’t help it. I pulled off the cold covers for my uncomfortable shabby bed, and staggered down the narrow hall, to the power room. No windows, very little light and a door that requires a key to get out to the open.
There was a picture in every hall, But the same picture in every frame. Every time I looked at them I would get a cold shiver.
The power room was cold and dusty and the kitchen was right beside it. Each time I walked into the power room I would see a face in the wall, like a manikin. My body didn’t fit through the doorway, so I had to squeeze in sideways and I would end up having cuts across my face, arms and legs.
The electricity board only had one switch so when I was going to a room, I would have to travel to the power room, and switch the switch around to the room plug so the room I am going to has power. Only one room can have power at the time. So I moved it to the kitchen so I could cook breakfast and get water.
