CHAPTER TWO
Warm dusty ashes, Falling like snow, smoke that looked like, fog. The trees were lit like unstoppable torches, I sprang up to my feet, and turned around to the wreck, only half of the helicopter was lying there. The pilots were dead, lying on the forest floor.
I must find the bunker, I thought to myself.
2 Days later...
The cold wind was whistling into my bivi, keeping me awake. And my fire has gone out, no light and I can't sleep, the worst thing I can do is go out, I would just get blown off the cliff.
I keep thinking back to my mates, they were in the other half of the helicopter, I was in the cockpit with the pilots, I’m not sure if they are dead or still alive.
The morning mist covered my saw body, making my body moist. I crawled out of my bivouak and walked out to the cliff, staring down, I was noticing movement. I looked closer and eventually saw what it was. So I picked up a rock and threw it down the cliff so it would look at me.
There it was looking up at me. I waved my bruised arms in the air so it could see me. It waved back with its long arms. "Yes" I wisperd, I have found them.
